Job summary

EPD SINGAPORE SERVICES PTE. LTD. requires a field service/technical support specialist to assist with commissioning, installation, testing and maintenance of products and systems at customer sites.

The role involves troubleshooting startups, motor control centers, variable speed drives, switchgear, motors and transformers, plus providing on-site and in-house support as needed, and conducting technical trainings.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales and/or post-sales technical support to customers including commissioning, installing, testing and maintaining products and systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer technical problems during start-up related to motor control centers, variable speed drives (AC & DC), switch gear, AC/DC motors and transformers.
• Inspect malfunctioning or damaged product to determine problem and recommend repair or replacement.
• Assist engineering department, shipyard personnel and ship’s crew.
• Conduct training sessions as required.
• Prepare and submit complete and accurate field service and other technical reports.
• Perform in-house support work.
• Carry out other tasks assigned by managers.
