Job summary

Atlas Marine, part of Mr. Marine Group, Singapore, is seeking a Service Engineer to install, commission, test, calibrate, and troubleshoot marine instrumentation and automation systems. The role is based at the AMS Singapore office and workshop and requires travel onboard vessels, ports, and shipyards.

You will diagnose, repair and maintain systems, perform precise calibration, generate documentation, and provide remote support to ship crews, while adhering to safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Electrical engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on marine instrumentation, automation or calibration experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot and work in maritime environments; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Onsite service & troubleshooting: diagnose, repair, and maintain marine automation and instrumentation systems.
• Calibration & testing: perform precise calibration and testing of marine sensors and systems per regulations.

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Service Engineer to join our Singapore team marine services division. In this role, you

will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of a wide range

of marine instrumentation and automation systems.

This position is based at the AMS Singapore office & workshop but also requires travel & to go onboard vessels/ships, ports, and shipyards.

Key Responsibilities

• Onsite Service & Troubleshooting: Attend vessels (at anchorage, ports, or dry docks) to diagnose, repair, and maintain marine automation and instrumentation systems.


• Calibration & Testing: Perform precise calibration and testing of critical marine sensors, transmitters, and systems (e.g., Gas detection systems, ODME, UTI gauges, and pressure/temperature gauges) in compliance with regulations. Knowledge of Ballast Water Treatment Systems (BWTS) is a plus


• Installation & Commissioning: Install & commission onboard ships ( if required).


• Technical Reporting: Prepare service reports, calibration certificates, and technical documentation promptly upon job completion.


• Customer Support: Provide technical advice and remote troubleshooting support to ship crew and technical superintendents.


• Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to maritime safety protocols, shipyard regulations, Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act guidelines, and company QHSE policies.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Degree/Diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, or an equivalent


• Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in marine instrumentation, automation, or calibration services & technical Proficiency:


• Independent problem-solver capable of managing dynamic technical & work challenges in maritime environments. Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, excellent communication skills
