Job summary

Atlas Marine Services Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Service Technician/Engineer to test, calibrate, and troubleshoot marine instrumentation and automation systems aboard vessels, at workshop, and at ports.

The role requires hands-on experience in marine instrumentation and a strong focus on safety, compliance, and timely service reports. You will interact with ship crews, provide remote support, and work across on-board and port environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, or Marine Engineering.
• 2–5 years hands-on experience in marine instrumentation, automation, or calibration services.
• Strong analytical thinking and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain marine automation and instrumentation systems onboard vessels at anchorage, ports, or dry docks to ensure operational reliability.
• Perform calibration and testing of marine sensors, transmitters, and systems to meet regulatory standards (OWS 15ppm monitors, ODME, UTI gauges, gas detection, pressure/temperature gauges, and other I&C instruments).
• Install and commission marine instrumentation and automation systems onboard ships as required to support vessel functionality.
• Prepare detailed service reports, calibration certificates, and technical documentation promptly after job completion to maintain accurate records.
• Provide technical advice and remote troubleshooting support to ship crews and technical superintendents to resolve operational issues efficiently.
• Comply strictly with maritime safety protocols, shipyard regulations, Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act guidelines, and company QHSE policies to ensure a safe working environment.

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, or Marine Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification
• 2-5 years of hands-on experience in marine instrumentation, automation, or calibration services
• Strong analytical thinking and effective communication skills to analyze technical issues and liaise with stakeholders

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Knowledge of Instrumentation & Calibration and testing capabilities would be an advantage to enhance
