Job summary

1 SUPPLIER PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced field engineer to perform on-site troubleshooting, coordinate with clients, and liaise with European manufacturers. The role requires a minimum of five years in mechanical engineering, strong problem-solving, and solid reporting abilities.

The position involves coordinating on-site activities in Tuas, handling spare parts, RFQs, and online support by phone, WhatsApp, and email. English fluency and a Class 3 driving license are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Engineering (mechanical).
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience.
• Willing to learn and take initiatives.
• Meticulous, pays attention to details.
• Willing to perform on-site troubleshooting and coordination (Tuas area) , resolve customer complaints and technical issues.
• Analytical thinking.
• Good communication and reporting abilities (verbal & written).
• Excellent interpersonnal skills interacting with clients, partners and subcontractors.
• Proficient in English, other languages can be a plus.
• Class 3 driving licence.
• Experience in GMP environment will be an added advantage
• References from previous employers are recommended.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site troubleshooting and analyze problems (symptoms, root-causes, tests, solutions).
• Able to handle on-site jobs independently with limited assistance from technical office.
• Liaise with manufacturers in Europe to resolve clients’ issue.
• Prepare on-site work, define and write site procedures.
• Write detailed and illustrated service reports after each on-site visit.
• Participate in Site Acceptance Tests with clients, partners and suppliers.
• Maintain Service projects documentation up-to-date and accessible
• Receive spare-parts deliveries and check their completeness, prepare spare-parts delivery documents.
• Receive, acknowledge and clarify Spare Parts RFQs from clients.
• Request for suppliers or partners’ quotations, and prepare offers for clients accordingly.
• Ensure projects follow-up by frequent communication with clients, partners and supplier (both locally and overseas).
• Perform technical on-line assistance (phone, WhatsApp & emails)
