Job summary

Nomura Singapore is seeking an experienced Portfolio Operations professional to join Loans Operations. You will oversee end-to-end life cycle events, validate deal documentation, and provide trade support for loan, bonds, equities, and credit instruments.

You will lead risk and governance activities, build strong controls, and partner with Front Office and regional stakeholders to plan origination, new product launches, and issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years experience supporting loan products and related workflows.
• Strong understanding of front-to-back loan trade flows and risk controls.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders across legal, compliance and finance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end life cycle events and controls for loan transactions.
• Monitor portfolio activity, pipeline and volume to assess capacity requirements.
• Validate deal documentation and ensure correct system and product setup.
• Provide trade support for loans, bonds, equities, derivatives and credit instruments.
• Maintain strong operational controls in line with policies and audits.
• Lead root-cause analysis and implement action plans to improve controls and productivity.
• Review risk updates with senior management and address risk indicators.
• Act as main operational contact for Front Office and regional stakeholders.
• Drive engagement for new deal origination, product launches and complex planning.
• Push for automation and digitalization to improve productivity and controls.
