Job summary

1011 United Overseas Bank Ltd, Singapore, is seeking a Senior Vice President for Operational Risk & Non-Financial Risk in Group Retail Risk & Control Management. You will lead the risk portfolio across the franchise, including overseas units, and provide independent risk advisory to senior management.

You will drive the Non-Financial Risk Management Framework, oversee risk governance, incident management, and remediation efforts to ensure regulatory alignment and strong control environments

Qualifications

• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in Operational Risk, Non-Financial Risk, Risk Management, Audit, Compliance or related control functions within financial services.
• Strong understanding of Operational Risk Management Frameworks, risk governance, incident management, issue management and regulatory expectations.
• Experience engaging senior management, governance committees, auditors and regulators.
• Strong stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Operational Risk and Non-Financial Risk portfolio across Group Retail, including overseas businesses.
• Oversee KORIs, RAS metrics, risk events, losses, risk/control assessments, audit findings and regulatory issues.
• Provide strategic risk advisory and challenge to business units and projects.
• Drive the Risk Framework implementation, governance, remediation oversight and regulatory alignment.
• Manage governance forums, reporting, and senior management escalation.
• Develop and coach the NFR team to strengthen risk capabilities.
