Job summary

Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Singapore Branch is seeking an experienced IT strategy and project leadership professional to align Banking IT initiatives with Head Office directives. You will manage strategic IT projects across Head Office and Singapore subsidiaries, engage stakeholders on ROI and budgets, and ensure delivery within regulatory and policy frameworks.

• Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent.
• 8+ years of IT or banking domain experience.
• Experience gathering and analysing IT strategy and requirements.
• Proficient in mapping business processes for Agile or waterfall delivery.
• Strong IT project management and ROI evaluation skills.
• Excellent communication to liaise between Head Office and subsidiaries.
• Ability to lead cross-function teams across Head Office, Singapore office, and subsidiaries.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Banking IT strategy planning, project execution & delivery, and cost management for SMBC subsidiaries and affiliates.
• Bridge Head Office and subsidiary in executing IT projects across Corporate/Wholesale Banking, Payment, Treasury, and credit systems.
• Engage stakeholders on strategy, ROI, budget allocation, and IT investments.
• Review growth, projects, and operating costs with partners to optimize resources and costs.
• Apply strategic thinking to deliver business and IT solutions.
• Act as project manager and engage stakeholders and delivery teams regularly.
• Provide regular project updates and reports to Head Office, including incidents.
• Ensure compliance with policies and local regulations; conduct post-project evaluations.
