RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD in Singapore seeks a Vessel Operations Assistant to support Line Management in selecting vessels based on load capacity and route suitability, and to execute voyage instructions while ensuring adherence to procedures.

The role includes optimizing stowage, ensuring DG segregation, stability and safety regulations, monitoring vessel reports, and coordinating bunkering with local agencies to maintain smooth operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist Line Management in vessel selection with reference to load ability and operational suitability in specific trade areas.
• Execution of voyage instructions to new chartered vessels and ensure that operational procedures are followed by the vessel throughout the charter.
• Maximize vessel stowage based on declared with minimum shut out / restows due to stowage issues, with equal crane split to optimize cargo operations and without impeding vessel safety.
• Stowage Planning of the vessel to be in compliance with DG segregation, Vessel stability, Lashing parameters, Line of Sight, Trim to meet safety requirements as per regulations.
• Closely monitor Vessel Reports in system to minimize pending reports and delayed submission. Ensure vessel report are accurate. Assist Line Managers (LM) with monitoring of alerts to ensure vessels are always following instructions.
• Speed adjustment instructions to Captain.
• Co-ordinate bunkering operations with local agency/operations to ensure smooth operation.
• Advise planned draft and load ability for draft restricted ports
