Job summary

Amgen Singapore Manufacturing PTE. LTD. is hiring a Senior Maintenance Engineer to oversee day-to-day operation, monitoring, and first-line support of site utility systems supporting Biologics and API manufacturing operations.

The role emphasizes reliable utilities operation, safe handover, LOTO compliance, and coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure continuous manufacturing and site safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher with related experience.
• Associate’s Degree with related experience.
• High School Diploma with related experience.
• Preferred certifications on steam boilers, work at height, confined space or NFPA hot work.
• Experience in utility systems operation, HVAC, chilled water systems, cooling towers, boilers, compressed air, nitrogen, or other industrial utility systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and perform routine rounds for site utility systems (HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, compressed air, nitrogen).
• Interpret operating parameters and alarms, identify abnormal conditions, and escalate as needed.
• Carry out alarm monitoring, response, escalation, and reporting for utility systems.
• Perform startup, shutdown, changeover, and recovery activities per procedures.
• Coordinate with planners, utilities, maintenance, and manufacturing for shutdowns and turnover.
• Escort and oversee vendors during utility-related work to ensure GMP and safety.
