Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking a seasoned UNIX/Linux System Engineer to maintain, upgrade and manage a broad range of servers and storages, primarily on Solaris, Linux and Windows platforms.

You will provide technical system administration and security support to customers, participate in a 24x7 service environment, and lead projects to meet scheduled milestones. Strong troubleshooting, vendor escalation, and collaboration across teams are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in Unix/Linux system engineering or administration.
• Experience managing web/application servers in Unix/Linux environments.
• Willingness to rotate for 24x7 service contracts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, upgrade, and manage servers and storages mainly on Solaris, Linux, and Windows platform.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through providing system administration and security technical support to the customer.
• Perform system administration and systems engineering support for 24x7 service organization.
• Lead project completion within the allocated schedule.
• Responsible for problem identification, troubleshooting, and driving technical resolution.
• Escalation of cases/faults to vendors such as Oracle, RedHat & Veritas.
• Handle customer calls and incident tickets related to Unix servers/services faults, recording the fault through ITSM tool.
• Assign with project implementation when required.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor.
