Job summary

Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank is seeking a Treasury Operations professional to support day-to-day processing, reconciliation, settlement and control of treasury activities in Singapore. The role requires handling FX, money market, deposits and securities with accuracy within tight timelines.

You will perform maker-checker duties, maintain proper controls, and coordinate with banks and custodians. A 5–6 year background in Treasury Operations, strong analytical skills and independence are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Finance, Banking, Accounting or related discipline.
• 5–6 years of relevant experience in Treasury Operations or a similar environment.
• Experience with treasury products such as FX, money market, deposits or securities is advantageous.
• Candidates with experience in settlement, reconciliation and operational controls are preferred.
• Meticulous and detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
• Diligent and responsible when handling time-sensitive and high-value transactions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Adaptable and quick to learn new products, systems and processes.
• Good team player with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Process and execute treasury transactions including FX, money market, deposits, securities and other treasury products.
• Ensure transactions are accurately confirmed and settled within required timelines.
• Perform daily reconciliation of treasury transactions and cash positions.
• Investigate discrepancies and follow up with relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate payment and settlement activities with banks, custodians and other counterparties.
• Maintain nostro accounts and escalate unresolved items promptly.
• Support audit, regulatory and internal control requirements.
• Liaise with external banks, counterparties and service providers as required.
