Job summary

Certis in Singapore is seeking an Officer Commanding / Senior Officer Commanding for the Security Training Centre. You will lead the centre, translate IST strategy into operating plans, and ensure disciplined, audit-ready operations while delivering high-quality security training across programmes.

The role requires 3+ years in supervisory roles within security or regulated environments, strong leadership, stakeholder engagement with police and regulators, and a passion for curriculum

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Education and Training or related field required.
• 3+ years in supervisory or command roles within security or regulated environments.
• Experience engaging regulators and accreditation bodies is preferred.
• Strong leadership, people management, and communication skills are essential.
• Knowledge of APO and security training standards is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Security Training Centre and translate IST strategy into operating plans; maintain disciplined, audit-ready operations.
• Plan and oversee annual, monthly and weekly training schedules with trainers, facilities, and materials.
• Ensure full regulatory compliance with police, licensing, accreditation, and safety requirements; maintain records and corrective actions.
• Monitor training quality, assess learner outcomes, and drive curriculum improvements and assessment integrity.
• Lead, coach and evaluate trainers; ensure currency of certifications and professional development.
• Manage learner welfare, logistics, and administrative processes across courses.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including police, regulators and accreditation bodies to align training demand and standards.
• Provide management reports on throughput, attendance, completion, and budgets; identify risks and improvement opportunities.
