Job summary

Renesas Electronics is looking for a Test Operations and Engineering professional to support post-manufacturing activity and drive operational excellence across global sites. The role emphasizes reducing costs, improving OEE and yield, and shortening cycle times to meet test KPI targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computing or related engineering discipline.
• Preferable with >3 years of experience in High Volume Semiconductor Test Manufacturing environment in Probe/ WLCSP and Final Test Operations.
• Experience with one of major ATE tester platforms (Teradyne UltraFLEX/Flex and Advantest 93k)
• Familiar with test processes / equipment operations/ planning concepts
• Excellent problem-solving ability (8D, Why-Why Analysis, Process & Manufacturing challenges)
• Good understanding of product knowledge & test methodology of analog/digital/power product, failure analysis and reliability test
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills to interact with people at all levels
• Strong project management skills

Responsibilities

• Interface with Renesas Product Groups and other functions across multiple regions on all product lifecycle phases.
• Execute daily test operations with internal factories and OSATs to ensure customer delivery fulfillment (lot tracking, dispositions, test program releases, hardware troubleshooting, uptime, OEE tracking).
• Coordinate Probe/Final Test transfer from NPI to High Volume Manufacturing.
• Execute new test capacity expansions to meet production demand.
• Deploy new tester/handler technology and test solutions at test sites.
• Implement best practices and processes within test manufacturing sites.
• Drive gross margins via OEE, yield and retest improvement initiatives.

This position reports into Test Operations under Operations Engineering Department (OED).

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for Test Operations interface to Renesas Product Groups and other functional teams (Supply Chain, Quality, Packaging, Foundry, PMO) across US, Japan, India, Malaysia, and China on all phases of product lifecycle
• Execute daily test operations activities with internal factories and test OSATs to ensure customer delivery fulfillment (i.e. Lot tracking and dispositions, Test Program releases, Hardware Troubleshooting/Repairs, Equipment up-time, Tester Utilization OEE tracking, Continuous Improvement Process, etc)
