Job summary

RecruitPedia Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to lead automated testing initiatives and develop production testing methods for electronic products with digital control and communication features.

You will troubleshoot test systems, design fixtures with safety and reliability in mind, support production scale-up, and drive test process improvements for new product introductions and transfers to manufacturing facilities.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in test engineering, automated testing, or electronics manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with automated test systems and production test equipment.
• Knowledge of electronic circuits, electrical measurements, and test instrumentation.
• Familiar with LabVIEW, Python, or C/C++ is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities for Senior Test Engineer:

• Automated Testing & System Development

  Develop automated test solutions to evaluate product performance, functionality, and safety.

  Establish production testing methods for electronic products with digital control and communication features.

  Troubleshoot hardware, software, communication, and testing system issues.

• Test Fixture & Equipment Development

  Coordinate with design teams and suppliers to develop reliable testing equipment and fixtures.

  Ensure testing equipment meets electrical safety, ESD protection, grounding, and reliability requirements.

• Production & Technical Support

  Provide technical support for production testing and manufacturing issues.

  Conduct failure analysis and root-cause investigations, and implement corrective actions.

  Review test results and production data to improve product quality and reduce testing errors.

• Test Process & Standards Improvement

  Develop test procedures, specifications, testing criteria, and work instructions.

  Establish suitable test limits based on product requirements and testing results.

  Improve testing efficiency, accuracy, coverage, and overall reliability.

• New Product Introduction & Production Transfer

  Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to establish testing requirements for new products.

  Validate and release automated testing systems, fixtures, and test programs for production use.

  Support production ramp-up and the transfer of testing processes to manufacturing facilities.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.

• At least 8 years of relevant experience in test engineering, automated testing, or electronics manufacturing.

• Hands-on experience in developing and troubleshooting automated test systems and production test equipment.

Good knowledge of electronic circuits, electrical measurements, and test instrumentation.

• Experience in test fixture design, failure analysis, and production troubleshooting.
• Familiar with programming or test automation tools such as LabVIEW, Python, or C/C++ will be an advantage.
