Job summary

ABS CONNECT PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced Software Developer specializing in Test Automation to design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for digital banking applications in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 7–10 years of experience in software testing with at least 4–5 years in test automation and prior automation leadership.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, or Type Script and reusable automation components.
• Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium with Java, Playwright, Appium, Cucumber/BDD, or Pytest.
• Strong API and web-service testing experience using Postman, REST Assured, SOAP UI, or Karate.
• Hands-on testing across functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, cross-browser, and mobile.
• CI/CD integration experience with Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, Docker, and related tools.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, defect management, and JIRA.
• Knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and QA best practices.
• Experience in digital banking or financial services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, maintenance, and optimisation of scalable test automation frameworks across web, mobile, API, and backend systems.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites using Selenium, Playwright, Appium, Pytest, Postman, REST Assured, or Karate.
• Translate requirements into test plans, test cases, BDD/Gherkin scenarios, and end-to-end automation scripts.
• Conduct functional, regression, integration, API, cross-browser, mobile, and UAT testing.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, Docker, and related DevOps tools.
• Perform API and web-service testing to validate data integrity and system reliability.
• Ensure test data quality, environment readiness, and end-to-end coverage across systems.
• Lead defect triage, root-cause analysis, and quality reporting with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with analysts, product owners, developers to clarify requirements and risks.
• Review scripts, establish coding standards, mentor team, and improve automation coverage.
