Job summary

Capefront Asia Pacific is seeking an experienced Tender Engineer to lead the preparation and submission of marine civil construction bids, including dredging, reclamation, port works, and coastal infrastructure. You will analyse tender documents, coordinate with engineering, quantity surveying, finance and contracts teams, and develop robust bid strategies under the Tender Manager’s guidance.

Qualifications

• Possess at least Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• At least 10 years of working experience.
• Relevant experience in marine civil construction projects (e.g., dredging, reclamation, port, and coastal infrastructure works) will be considered an advantage.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Positive attitude.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CAD, and relevant construction planning / management software.
• Familiarity with local regulations, standards, and bidding processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and coordination of tenders for marine civil construction projects.
• Analyse and interpret tender documents, including project specifications, scope of work, conditions, and contractual requirements.
• Attend pre-tender meetings and site visits as required.
• Develop comprehensive construction sequence and bid strategies under the guidance of the Tender Manager.
• Liaise with internal teams during tender preparation.
• Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and risk assessments within tenders.
• Assist in preparing and presenting tender proposals, including cost estimates, schedules, and methodology for internal review and approval.
• Assist in reviewing and evaluating tender submission documents, ensuring all contractual, legal, and technical aspects are addressed before submission.
• Participate and support post-tender presentation, interview, and clarifications with clients as required.
• Assist in conducting complete and quality handover to project management team (successful tender).
• Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned by superior.
