Job summary
Singapore Telecommunications Limited is seeking an experienced Telecommunications Engineer to support the maintenance and operation of our access and transmission networks in Singapore. The role involves coordinating fault clearance, performing site surveys, installations, testing and ongoing maintenance to ensure reliable services.

Qualifications
- Minimum qualification of O Level /A level or ITE in Mechanical/ Electrical engineering or equivalent.
- Knowledge of telecommunications engineering and transmission systems.
- Experience with transmission equipment (SDH, GPON, MD, MSAN, IAD, CE, NGCE, IPMD) is a plus.
- Familiarity with fiber patching and testing equipment (OTDR, meters).
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with INOC on fault clearance and service restoration to meet SLA.
- Troubleshoot faults in access and transmission equipment; escalate to tier two as needed.
- Plan and execute site surveys, installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance.
- Monitor health and performance of access/transmission gear; take remedial action.
- Support re-routing or diversion during cable incidents.
- On standby for irregular hours including nights, holidays and weekends.
