Job summary

We are partnered with a leading global engineering and technology organisation to recruit a Senior Telecom Engineer for its Marine & Offshore business in Singapore.

The role focuses on owning the engineering design and execution of telecommunications systems for complex Marine and Offshore projects, including leading telecom activities across multiple projects and working alongside multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or related discipline
• 10 years' experience in design, engineering and commissioning of telecom systems in Marine & Offshore Oil & Gas
• Knowledge of telecom systems on offshore platforms, FPSOs and marine facilities
• Familiar with IEC/IEEE/ANSI/NORSOK/DNV/Lloyd's Register/ABS standards
• Experience with ATEX/IECEx requirements is advantageous
• Experience leading multiple projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams
• Strong vendor management and stakeholder engagement
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and engineering documentation

Responsibilities

• Lead telecom engineering activities for assigned projects.
• Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and system integration.
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) with clients and vendors.
• Coordinate with Electrical, Instrumentation and other disciplines to ensure successful project delivery.
• Attend client meetings and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle

We are partnering with a leading global engineering and technology company to recruit a Senior Telecom Engineer for its Marine & Offshore business in Singapore.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Telecom Engineer to take ownership of the engineering design and execution of telecommunications systems for complex Marine and Offshore projects. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to lead telecom engineering activities across multiple projects while working alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Engineering & Design

• Design and engineer telecommunications systems for Marine and Offshore Oil & Gas projects.
• Prepare and review technical documentation including: Functional Design Specifications (FDS) RFQs and Technical Bid Evaluations Material Take-Offs (MTO)Equipment Lists Cable Schedules Technical Queries (TQs)
• Develop and review engineering drawings such such as Cable Block Diagrams, Layout Drawings, and Termination Drawings using AutoCAD.
• Ensure designs comply with client specifications, project requirements, and international engineering standards.

Project Execution

• Lead telecom engineering activities for assigned projects.
• Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and system integration activities.
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) with clients and vendors.
• Coordinate closely with Electrical, Instrumentation, and other engineering disciplines to ensure successful project delivery.
• Attend client meetings and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.

Compliance & Vendor Management

• Ensure compliance with international standards including IEC, IEEE, ANSI, NORSOK, DNV, Lloyd's Register, and ABS.
• Work closely with equipment vendors, reviewing technical submissions and supporting package integration activities.
• Maintain a strong focus on quality, safety, and engineering best practices.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum10 years' experiencein the design, engineering, and commissioning of telecommunications systems within theMarine and Offshore Oil & Gasindustry.
• Strong knowledge of telecom systems commonly used on offshore platforms, FPSOs, and marine facilities.
• Good understanding of international standards includingIEC, IEEE, ANSI, NORSOK, DNV, Lloyd's Register, and ABS.
• Working knowledge ofATEX / IECExrequirements and hazardous area installations will be highly advantageous.
• Experience leading multiple projects simultaneously and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong vendor management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and preparation of engineering documentation.
