Job summary

HCLTech is seeking an experienced Oracle Avaloq developer to lead a team of developers, review code, and ensure delivery of complex projects. The role involves feasibility studies, architecture guidance, and collaboration with stakeholders to define scope and deliverables.

The ideal candidate will have extensive Oracle PL/SQL experience, Avaloq certification, strong Unix scripting and cross-cultural communication skills in English and German. Agile testing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in Database development using Oracle PL/SQL.
• Strong SQL skills: joins, functions, sub queries, Data Manipulation.
• Very strong Oracle PL/SQL programming (procedures, packages, functions, exceptions, triggers) in Oracle 11g+.
• Working knowledge of database tools like TOAD, SQL Developer.
• Avaloq Certification or equivalent is mandatory.
• Experience across multiple Avaloq modules: Credit/Payment/PFM/Tax/Cost and fees/STEX/Compliance/Accountancy.
• Good knowledge Unix scripting.
• Non-Technical / Soft Skills; Excellent communication; team player; ability to work across cultures.
• Good to have: testing in Agile projects.
• Good to have: German and English communication.
• Strong analytical skills and presentation skills

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to a team of developers, enhancing technical capabilities and productivity.
• Conduct comprehensive code reviews, establish QA processes, optimize performance, and enforce coding standards.
• Ensure process compliance in the assigned module and participate in feasibility studies and technical discussions as a consultant.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables and prepare status reports to minimize escalations.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

1. To be responsible for providing technical guidance to a team of developers, enhancing their technical capabilities and increasing productivity.
2. To conduct comprehensive code reviews, establish and oversee quality assurance processes, performance optimization , implementation of best practices and coding standards to ensure successful delivery of complex projects.
3. To ensure process compliance in the assigned module| and participate in technical discussions/review as a technical consultant for feasibility study (technical alternatives, best packages, supporting architecture best practices, technical risks, breakdown into components, estimations).
4. To collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables and accordingly prepare and submit status reports for minimizing exposure & closure of escalations.
