Job summary

Direct Search Global in Singapore seeks a Technical Superintendent to oversee the technical management, maintenance, safety, and readiness of the oil tanker and bunker tanker fleet in compliance with regulatory, class, and company requirements.

The role requires seagoing tanker experience or at least 2 years' experience as a Technical Superintendent, with strong leadership, budgeting, and English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Sea-going tanker experience required.
• CoC Class 2/3 preferred.
• Strong English language skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and doc filing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee technical management of tanker fleet.
• Maintain vessel certificates and documents.
• Implement Planned Maintenance System (PMS).
• Coordinate class, statutory, flag inspections and surveys.
• Plan dry-docking, repairs, and technical upgrades.
• Monitor crew performance; provide technical guidance.
• Prepare and manage technical budgets.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
