Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Singapore is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead electrification design for MRT projects, coordinating with clients, vendors, and offshore teams to ensure timely submissions and compliant work products.

The role requires 8+ years in MRT electrification, strong traction power systems expertise, and excellent communication with local operators and project teams. We offer flexible working arrangements and professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Has acquired strong foundation as an Electrical Engineer in traction power systems with local project experience.
• Minimum 8 years experience in the electrification projects for MRT projects.
• Good experience in AC & DC Electrification systems including Control and Protections.
• Good experience in handling medium to high complexity of solution projects.
• Well verse of Local transportation operators and legal requirement.
• Adaptable to different working environments and customer working terms and conditions.
• Strong and effective communicator at all levels within the Business – and in front of new and existing customers.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for engineering, design activities for electrification projects i.e. design deliverable completion, clarification meetings with client, follow up with external consultants on submissions, vendors.
• Package lead with overall responsibility for the design and execution of electrical packages for traction power systems 66KV,22KV,750VDC,1500V DC Switchgear, DC Trackside equipment, Traction Transformers, Traction Power Converters, Auxiliary systems, SMS, IFIS, VLD, Cable list, BOQ estimation.
• Preparation and review of schematic drawings, Technical Specifications, G.A and SLD.
• Co-ordinate with Siemens offshore team on design finalization and co-ordinate on-time submission of the project deliveries.
• Support and provide required inputs for design and project teams.
• Develop conceptual engineering ,propose and implement Value addition engineering for the projects.
• System Engineering support for the tender / bids.
• Work closely with Siemens AG design teams and engineering on the customer requirement, coordinate design verification and submission to customer.
• Work closely with Project teams, Interfacing, T&C teams including coordinate with various interface partner.
