Job summary

PERSOL in Singapore seeks a System Engineer to manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure, and to install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools. You will ensure high availability and create and maintain jobs in the EFT application.

Qualifications

• IT experience in system engineering, system administration, infrastructure support, or application support.
• Windows Administration and UNIX/Linux environments experience.
• Scripting for system administration and automation.
• File Transfer Technologies including SFTP and Security Technologies.
• Working knowledge of Java Web Application Development and JEE Frameworks.
• Familiarity with XML, Oracle PL/SQL and MS SQL query language.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
• Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
• Perform system patching, application deployment, and reporting.
• Proactively ensure the highest levels of system and infrastructure availability.
• Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks.
• Identify possible solutions and work with developers to implement fixes.
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
• Write and maintain custom scripts to improve system efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Perform SLIFT Key, SFTP Password, SSL Certificate, and RDP Certificate changes.
• Maintain the software inventory list.
