Thermo Fisher Scientific is hiring a Senior Engineer, Systems Design to drive system-level integration for Flow Cytometry. You will lead hands-on testing, coordinate interfaces across microfluidics, optics and electronics, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure robust, integrated subsystems.

The role requires 5+ years in systems or integration engineering, strong test discipline and data-driven problem solving, plus the ability to communicate complex findings clearly.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Bioengineering, Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.
• Typically 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, design engineering, integration engineering or test engineering.
• Hands-on test experience with complex instruments or multidisciplinary products.
• Systems integration experience preferred; strong systems thinking if not.
• Strong test engineering fundamentals: test strategy, design, criteria, data analysis, troubleshooting.
• Experience with root-cause analysis and engineering risk assessment (FMEA or equivalent).
• Ability to communicate findings clearly across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsabilidades

• Drive execution of systems integration activities for Flow Cytometry system, coordinating interfaces across microfluidics, acoustics, optics, electronics, firmware/software and subsystems.
• Plan and perform hands-on engineering testing for feasibility studies, concept evaluation, integration checkout and sustaining investigations.
• Execute controlled system configurations and integrated workflows; identify interface, timing and cross-subsystem issues.
• Lead integration issue triage and root-cause investigations by reproducing, isolating and characterizing failures.
• Analyze experimental and test data using statistical methods; translate results into technical conclusions.
• Assess integration coverage, identify test gaps, and support test methods and traceability.
• Perform technical risk and integration-impact assessments for sustaining changes and investigations.
• Support feasibility studies and proof-of-concept activities for new concepts.
• Maintain integration data, test results, issues and readiness evidence for handoff to V&V.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering, hardware/software/test, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing and Service teams.
