Job summary

ST Engineering Advanced Materials Engineering Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Systems Safety Engineer to provide safety-focused systems engineering across the lifecycle.

You will work with programme managers, chief engineers, designers and subject matter experts to develop, allocate and verify safety requirements for complex systems and products. The role includes supporting safety assessments for autonomous AI-enabled technologies, performing hazard analyses (PHA/FTA) and developing and verifying safety

Qualifications

• Degree in Systems, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electronics, Aerospace or related Engineering disciplines.
• Relevant engineering experience in system design, product development, systems engineering, testing, reliability, safety engineering or related disciplines.
• Good communication and technical writing skills.
• Able to interact well in diverse team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand complex engineering systems.
• Meticulous, self-motivated and able to learn and apply new knowledge quickly.
• Proficient in Microsoft M365.
• Familiarity with MBSE, Hazard Analysis techniques and MIL-STD standards is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering support (safety) for assessment and management of system and product safety.
• Collaborate with programme managers, chief engineers, designers and subject matter experts to develop, allocate and verify safety requirements throughout the system lifecycle.
• Support safety assessments for emerging technologies including autonomous AI-enabled systems and robotics.
• Develop System Safety Programme Plan (SSPP) and various Safety Assessment Reports across lifecycle.
• Perform hazard analyses and safety requirements development and verification activities.
