Job summary

A leading financial services employer in Singapore is seeking a Senior System Administrator to join its IT team. The role is hands-on, focusing on Microsoft Exchange (on‑premises and Online), Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, and related identity and messaging platforms across the enterprise.

You will own the administration, migrations, and hybrid coexistence, support IAM and Workplace teams, patching, security, and audit readiness, and use PowerShell to automate routine tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Engineering or related field with 5+ years of hands-on sysadmin experience.
• Hands-on experience administering on-prem Exchange and migrations to Exchange Online/Microsoft 365.
• Experience with Entra ID, Azure, AD, GPO, DNS/DHCP and PowerShell scripting.

• Administer on-premises Exchange Server and Exchange Online, including migrations and hybrid coexistence.
• Support Entra ID, SSO, OIDC, OAuth 2.0, and SAML integrations with IAM and Workplace teams.

Job description

Introduction

A leading player in the financial services industry is looking for a Senior System Administrator to join its IT team in Singapore. This is a hands‑on infrastructure role with a strong focus on Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft 365, Azure, and Entra ID, supporting secure and reliable messaging and identity platforms across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

You will take ownership of the administration and ongoing support of Microsoft Exchange Server (on‑premises) and Exchange Online, including planning and delivering migrations to Microsoft 365, hybrid coexistence, mail flow, and cutover activities. You will administer Microsoft 365 messaging services and support integration with Entra ID, SSO, OIDC, OAuth 2.0, and SAML, working closely with the IAM and Workplace teams.

In addition, you will support the broader Windows environment covering Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, and AD Connect, while handling escalated incidents, changes, and problems from the helpdesk. You will contribute to patching, security, compliance, and audit readiness, and use PowerShell to automate recurring administration and operational tasks.

Requirements

You should possess Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or similar discipline with at least 5 years of hands‑on experience in system administration. Strong, hands‑on experience administering on‑premises Microsoft Exchange, ideally Exchange 2019 or Subscription Edition, together with demonstrated experience personally planning and delivering migrations from on‑premises Exchange to Exchange Online / Microsoft 365 is essential. Practical experience supporting an internal corporate or enterprise IT environment and its end users is important for this position.

You should also bring solid experience across Microsoft Entra ID, Azure / Azure Stack, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, GPO, DNS/DHCP, AD Connect, and PowerShell. Familiarity with identity and federation technologies including Conditional Access, MFA, RBAC/PIM, OIDC, OAuth 2.0, and SAML is required. Experience with SharePoint and Teams would be advantageous.
