Job summary

ABB is seeking a design authority for an engineering discipline to engineer, test and commission substation automation systems based on System 800xA. The role is onsite and involves end-to-end project activities from engineering to field commissioning with a multidisciplinary team.

You will work on integrating LV/MV switchgear, IEDs and industrial protocols, and support testing and FAT/SAT across factories and offshore sites under the Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or electronics engineering is required.
• Hands-on automation or substation automation experience in Oil & Gas or power sectors preferred.
• Knowledge of IEC 61850 (MMS, GOOSE, SCL) and IED configuration tools is essential.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and configure SAS using IEC 61850 under guidance of lead engineer.
• Prepare signal lists, IP address lists and interface details with equipment suppliers.
• Perform pre-commissioning, commissioning and FAT/SAT at yards and offshore sites.
