Job summary

The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) champions Singapore's built environment safety, quality, sustainability, and public service standards. We seek resourceful and self-motivated individuals to regulate and transform the sector, playing a key role in shaping Singapore’s future built environment.

You will assess structural plans, perform audits and site inspections, and investigate dangerous building complaints while contributing to policy and regulation reviews to ensure public safety

Qualifications

• A degree in civil/structural engineering.
• At least 4 years in structural design and analysis of buildings or infrastructure.
• PPE examination passed; preferably registered professional engineer with Professional Engineers Board Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Process and approve structural plans and calculations for buildings submitted by professionals.
• Perform audit checks on selected structures and conduct construction site checks.
• Investigate complaints about dangerous buildings and assess structural integrity and safety.
• Review policies and regulations related to safety of the built environment.
