Job summary

t.y.lin international pte. ltd. is hiring engineers to lead the detailed design, prepare submissions to authorities, and coordinate multi-disciplinary design deliveries for major projects in Singapore. The role involves tendering, project delivery, mentoring juniors, and overall design management.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in design consulting for buildings/infrastructure sectors, with strong communication, time management, and knowledge of common structural software. PE is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and eligible for registration with the Professional Engineers Board (Singapore).
• Minimum of 5 years of design experience.
• Conversant with local codes and authority submission procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of common structural design software.
• Experience in engineering design consulting for buildings, geotechnical, infrastructure, rail or road projects including underground/basement/elevated structures and MRT stations.
• Good project management and analytical skills; able to work under pressure and manage time.
• Professional Engineer status is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized University and eligible for registration with the Professional Engineers Board (Singapore).
• A minimum of 5 years of design experience.
• Conversant with local codes and authority submission procedures
• Excellent interpersonal, good written and verbal communication skills
• Have good knowledge of common structural design software.
• Working experience in engineering design consulting practice on building, geotechnical, infrastructure, rail or road projects (underground/basement/elevated structures, tunnel structures and MRT station structures)
• Good project management skills and strong analytical skills
• Able to work under pressure with good time management skill
• Being a Professional Engineer is an advantage.

Buildings

• Experienced in the design and design management of major building projects such as residential buildings, commercial, institutional, high-rise buildings, schools,etc.
• Familiar with precast and prestressed concrete, steelworks, PPVC and MET will be an added advantage.

Infrastructure

• Experienced in the design and design management of major infrastructure projects such as underground MRT tunnels, stations and storage caverns.
