Job summary

SVD CONSTRUCTIONS PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a skilled Drafter to develop detailed 3D models of structural steel components using Tekla Structures and to prepare shop drawings for fabrication and site installation.

You will coordinate with engineers, architects and project managers, generate BOMs and material take-offs, ensure compliance with codes, and resolve discrepancies with fabricators and erectors.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in drafting steel and metal structures.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Tekla for 2D/3D design.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• 3D Modeling: Develop detailed 3D models of structural steel components using Tekla Structures.
• Shop & Fabrication Drawings: Prepare shop drawings, assembly drawings, and erection plans for fabrication and site installation.
• Coordination: Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
• Documentation: Generate bills of materials (BOM), material take-offs, and reports to support procurement and fabrication.
• Quality Assurance: Review and interpret architectural/structural drawings to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Issue Resolution: Communicate with fabricators and erectors to resolve discrepancies during production or construction.
