Job summary

NSL OILCHEM WASTE MANAGEMENT PTE. LTD. is seeking a skilled professional to monitor and optimize incineration plant operations, including process control equipment and preventive maintenance planning.

The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with multiple departments. The ideal candidate holds a mechanical or chemical engineering degree, 5+ years of incinerator experience, and Steam Engineer certification.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical /Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years experience operating incinerators, waste heat boilers, cooling towers and demin water plants.
• Steam Engineer Grade 1 or 2 certification.
• Safety certifications such as WAH, Confined Space preferred.
• Able to work in 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and troubleshoot incineration plant operation and process control equipment for smooth operation.
• Develop operation procedures and methods to optimize operation (lower costs, minimize manpower, maximize capacity).
• Develop and practice preventive maintenance schedules and regular maintenance schedules.
• Prepare and monitor operation data sheets and records.
• Regular patrolling and inspection of machine and equipment conditions and staff duties.
• Monitor and brief staff on safety regulations at work.
• Supervise housekeeping at the incineration plant.
• Plan steam distribution and coordinate with other departments during interruptions in steam supply.
• Follow ESH procedures, issue PTW and monitor contractor works.
• Compile and review monthly operation reports (cost, productivity, quality, non-conformances).
• Comply with NEA air emission monitoring, PUB sewage discharge limits, MOM boiler inspections, and air compressors, etc.
• Assist and provide technical support for operation maintenance (advice, material selection, purchasing orders, maintenance history, preventive plans).
