Job summary

RECRUIT LYNC PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an experienced technician for Tuas to monitor and optimize plant operations. You will perform equipment checks, manage oil sludge handling, and operate forklifts/cranes while maintaining strict EHS compliance.

The role requires at least 2 years in the Oil & Chemistry sector and a Nitec in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering. Sign-on bonus and quarterly bonuses are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Oil & Chemistry industry experience.
• Nitec in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering required.
• EHS policies and regulations compliance required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and troubleshoot plant operations; perform 2-hour equipment checks and report abnormalities.
• Check oil sludge hopper level periodically.
• Use forklift to top up oil sludge bin.
• Operate forklift to clear fly ash bins and slag containers; top up sand for incinerator.
• Strictly follow EHS policies and regulations at all times.
• Operate crane to top up oil sludge into hopper.
• Record operation parameters to monitor plant health.
• Ensure incinerator parameters are in good operating condition.
• Regulate liquid waste capacity; monitor wastewater and solvent tanks; notify supervisor when low.
• Compile and review daily operation reports.
• Communicate with staff to support safe plant operations and flag safety lapses.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and troubleshoot plant operations and perform 2-hour equipment checks using the "Field Operation Checklist," promptly reporting any abnormalities
• To check the oil sludge hopper level from time to time
• Using Forklift to top up oil sludge bin
• Operate a forklift for clearing fly ash bins and slag containers, as well as topping up sand for the fluidizing bed incinerator
• Strictly abide on EHS policies and regulations at all times
• Operate the crane to top up oil sludge into the hopper
• Record plant operation parameters to monitor plant health performance
• To ensure the incinerator parameters is in good operating condition
• Regulate liquid waste treatment capacity as required, while monitoring wastewater and waste solvent tank levels and informing the Supervisor/Team Leader when levels reach low thresholds
• Compile and review daily operation reports
• Communicate effectively with staff to support safe plant operations and identify any safety lapses in routine tasks

Requirements

• Minimum Nitec in Mechanical/ Electrical or Chemical Engineering
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the Oil & Chemistry industry
