About the role

We are a publicly listed global e‑commerce company seeking senior‑level backend architects for multiple openings. Remote role in Singapore. Competitive package offered.

Responsibilities

• Architect and scale mission‑critical backend systems and distributed cloud services to support high‑volume global traffic.
• Define long‑term technical strategy and system architecture for core platform domains.
• Take end‑to‑end ownership of the engineering lifecycle.
• Drive engineering excellence across teams by conducting architecture reviews and setting coding standards.
• Optimize system reliability and performance by proactively troubleshooting complex production issues and scaling data infrastructure.
• Leverage cutting‑edge AI‑assisted engineering tools to accelerate software delivery cycles and enhance overall development efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
• Minimum 7 years of experience with a proven track record in large‑scale internet or e‑commerce environments.
• Deep expertise in architecting cloud‑native solutions on AWS, including containerized environments utilizing ECS or Kubernetes (open to Azure or GCP).
• Extensive experience working with data stores, caching, and streaming platforms such as MySQL, MongoDB, Kafka, Redis, and Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.
• Familiarity or direct experience using AI‑native development tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code to optimize productivity.
