LionsBot International builds robots people love. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Backend/Cloud) who thrives on building scalable cloud systems that power real world robotics at global scale.
You will design and develop cloud native backend services, microservices, distributed systems, and real time platforms that enable monitoring, control, and data driven operations across our robotic ecosystem. You will work across APIs, event driven architectures, and data pipelines to ensure performance, reliability, and security at scale.
You will also take ownership of cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices, driving CICD, infrastructure as code, observability, and disaster recovery to ensure stable and secure global operations. Your work will power a fast growing global platform supporting more than 5000 robots operating daily across over 30 countries.
Design and build scalable cloud native backend systems and microservices that power and orchestrate our global fleet of robots
Develop real time APIs and data pipelines that enable monitoring, control, and intelligent robot operations
Drive DevOps practices including CICD, infrastructure as code, cloud deployments, and operational automation
Establish strong observability, resilience, backup, and disaster recovery standards
Contribute to security and compliance initiatives including ISO27001, SOC2, and GDPR through secure architecture and operational discipline
Architect distributed systems that deliver high performance, reliability, and security at global scale
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or equivalent.
At least 3 years of professional experience building production grade backend and cloud systems
Strong experience in Golang, Spring Boot
Experience with PostgreSQL, Neo4j, Kafka, Redis and TimescaleDB in production environments
Familiarity with real time communication technologies such as gRPC, MQTT, WebSocket, or WebRTC
Hands on experience deploying and operating services on AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
Experience with Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, CICD pipelines, and cloud security best practices
Experience applying DevOps principles and implementing observability practices including logging, metrics, tracing, and monitoring
Proven experience designing and operating scalable distributed systems in production, including microservices
Experience working with robots, robotic fleets, or IoT devices in production environments
Familiarity with OpenRMF, ROS or robotics-related communication stacks
Experience working with smart building systems, access control, or IoT platforms
Exposure to real world system integration involving hardware and software coordination
