Job summary

Micron Technology is seeking a Principal Engineer, SSD Validation to provide technical leadership for firmware validation and test architecture across enterprise, data center, and automotive SSD products. You will own validation strategy, automation frameworks, and quality systems to ensure reliability, performance, scalability, and manufacturing readiness.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration to resolve firmware issues, influence roadmaps, and drive test efficiency through automation

Qualifications

• Requires 8+ years in SSD firmware validation or development.
• Bachelor-level degree or higher in a related engineering field.
• Strong background in storage protocols and validation tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead SSD firmware test architecture, validation strategy, and quality systems for enterprise SSD products.
• Design and implement validation solutions covering functionality, performance, reliability, QoS, PLP, FTL, GC, power management, and security features.
• Build and optimize automation frameworks, long-duration stability test systems, and CI/CD validation pipelines.
