Job summary

ITCAN PTE. LIMITED in Singapore is seeking an automation engineer to design, develop and support automation solutions that boost operational efficiency and service performance.

You will use Python and Unix/Linux, implement automation frameworks, and build reusable components while applying SRE practices to improve availability.

Collaborate with infrastructure, application and operations teams, perform API testing with Postman or Karate, and contribute in an agile Jira/Confluence workflow.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Selenium/Playwright automation experience.
• Exposure to ELK dashboards and observability tools.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments.
• Experience in SRE or production support roles.
• Familiarity with Power Automate or other RPA platforms.
• Agile delivery using Jira and Confluence.
• Experience with automation using Python, Java, and TypeScript.
• Experience in banking/finance/public sector/large enterprise projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions using Python and Unix/Linux technologies to improve operational efficiency
• Build and enhance object-based automation workflows leveraging RPA platforms such as Power Automate, Selenium, and Playwright
• Develop reusable automation components to reduce manual intervention and streamline operational processes
• Design and implement application monitoring and infrastructure performance metrics using observability platforms like ELK and OAPM
• Create and maintain operational dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support data-driven decision-making
• Apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices to improve system availability, scalability, and resilience
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and operations teams to automate operational tasks and enhance service delivery
• Document automation solutions, operational procedures, and technical designs clearly and comprehensively
• Utilize automation scripting skills in Python, Java, and TypeScript to develop and maintain automation frameworks
• Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman and Karate to ensure integration quality
• Perform performance testing with JMeter or LoadRunner to validate system robustness
• Adapt quickly to new automation technologies and operational requirements in an agile delivery environment using Jira and Confluence
• Leverage experience in banking, finance, public sector, or large enterprise projects to meet industry-specific needs
