Job summary

Seatrium (SG) Pte. Ltd. is seeking an engineer to design and review energy infrastructure and electrification for marine applications. You will conduct topside power system designs, perform sizing analyses for new builds and retrofits, and ensure compliance with grid and transmission requirements.

You will engage stakeholders, plan and execute EPC and energy storage implementations, and adapt to changing priorities while delivering quality outcomes in a dynamic project environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in marine/mechanical/electrical engineering.
• Knowledge of marine energy infrastructure design incl. energy storage, smart grid & micro grid.
• Experience with grid tie project development/execution.
• Familiar with design, review and simulation of energy infrastructure applications.
• Familiar with IEC/IEEE standards for energy infrastructure and energy storage.
• Experience in design and execution of marine/land-based power systems.
• Experience with LV/MV switching, VFDs or UPS operations.
• Able to read SLD & Schematics Drawings.
• Good knowledge of protection schemes for power systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Learning mindset; familiar with basic office software.

Responsibilities

• Perform topside power system designs including Operational Philosophy, calculations, and detail drawings.
• Size analysis for new builds/retrofits of electric vessels.
• Lead compliance towards grid/transmission requirements.

• Plan, coordinate and execute energy infrastructure EPC and energy storage implementations.
• Adapt to changing priorities and complete ad hoc duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Design and review functional system specifications for energy infrastructure and electrification related project
• Perform topside power system designs of energy infrastructure. Operational Philosophy, Design Calculations, Detail Engineering Drawings
• Perform sizing analysis for new build/retrofits of electric vessels
• Lead the compliance towards grid/transmission requirements
• Stakeholder engagements for overall project design update and engagement
• Plan, coordinate and execute energy infrastructure EPC and energy storage implementation
• Must be able to work towards departmental objectives in the day-to-day environment and be adaptable to changing priorities and assignments
• Perform other adhoc duties as required.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in marine/mechanical/electrical engineering disciplines
• Good knowledge of marine energy infrastructure design inclusive of energy storage system, smart grid & micro grid implementation
• Prior experiences in grid tie project development/execution
• Familiar with design, review and simulation of energy infrastructure applications
• Familiar with IEC/IEEE standards for energy infrastructure and energy storage applications
• Prior experiences in design and execution of marine/landbased power systems
• Prior experiences of LV/MV switching, variable frequencies drives or uninterruptible power supplies operations
• Able to understand SLD & Schematics Drawings
• Good knowledge of protection scheme of power system
• Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently and as part of team
• Possess inquisitive and learning mindset
• Familiar with basic office software
