Job summary

ST Engineering Satellite Systems Pte. Ltd. (SatSys) is seeking a Senior Satellite Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, development, and qualification of spacecraft mechanical systems.

This role focuses on structural integrity, electronics packaging, and reliability in the harsh space environment, collaborating with electrical/avionics teams to ensure integrated solutions. You will guide junior engineers, drive design reviews, and support in mission campaigns, with opportunities to shape

Qualifications

• Knowledge in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• 8 to 15 years of relevant experience in satellite or space system engineering is desirable.
• Proficiency in CAD and FEA tools for spacecraft mechanical design and analysis.
• Strong communication, documentation, and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of satellite mechanical systems including structure, mechanisms, and enclosures.
• Perform detailed design using CAD tools and ensure compliance with space requirements.
• Conduct structural analysis and verification of spacecraft structures and modules.
• Support assembly, integration, and test activities and environmental testing.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for mechanical-electrical integration.
• Generate design documentation, ICDs, and test procedures.
