Job summary

GMP RECRUITMENT SERVICES (S) PTE LTD is seeking an senior IT architect to lead the design and implementation of mission-critical, high-volume financial services applications. You will ensure code quality, performance, and security across internal and vendor teams, while enforcing governance and architecture standards.

The role requires hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST/gRPC, microservices, and cloud-native deployments, with strong experience in banking-domain integrations and CI/CD

Qualifications

• 10+ years delivering IT solutions within financial institutions.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, gRPC, and microservices.
• Experience securing internet-facing web and mobile apps (SSO, OIDC, SAML, MFA, SPA).
• Knowledge of Kafka, IBM MQ/RabbitMQ, APIs, and secure file-based/system integrations.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Jenkins, Maven, GitOps/ArgoCD, CI/CD, and cloud-native deployment.
• Understanding of Oracle, NoSQL databases, ElasticSearch, and data formats/protocols (JSON, XML, Protobuf, OpenAPI).
• Exposure to banking/payments domains with governance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Ensure code quality, scalability, maintainability, performance, and coding standards across teams.
• Conduct code reviews, audits, identify technical debt, and remediation strategies.
• Review and validate low-level designs including diagrams and APIs.
• Govern architecture compliance with approved frameworks, patterns, and standards.
• Define and oversee source code management practices, including branching, merging, baselining, version control, and release management.
• Monitor and enforce CI/CD pipeline adoption and development best practices.
• Identify technical risks and recommend mitigation plans to improve system quality and stability.
• Provide technical leadership through code reviews, mentoring, and guidance for development teams.
• Ensure application performance, security, regulatory compliance, and proper documentation of decisions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver web and mobile channel applications aligned with enterprise architecture.
