Job summary

SGX Group is seeking an experienced Assistant VP, Software Engineering to lead hands-on software delivery for market-critical platforms. You will design, build, and secure scalable solutions while collaborating with product, architecture, and delivery teams to drive resilience and high availability.

As a technical leader, you will mentor engineers, shape engineering standards, and steer modernization across platforms.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building and supporting production-grade applications.
• Deliver well-tested, maintainable software and contribute to code reviews.
• Strong hands-on skills with Python, Java, Go or TypeScript and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).

Responsibilities

• Independently design, develop and deliver production-ready software with appropriate quality and security controls.
• Design scalable system components and participate in architectural decisions.
• Deliver solutions through standardised CI/CD pipelines and engineering workflows.
• Maintain operational ownership and contribute to production reliability.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team capability uplift.
• Apply agentic AI across the SDLC to deliver features faster and with better quality.
