Job summary

Wise Asia-Pacific Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks a Senior Software Engineer to ship direct customer touch points across our travel-focused product suite.

You will help scale the platform to hundreds of millions of users, building seamless experiences for Wise customers spending globally. You will own technical domains, mentor engineers, collaborate with product, design and analytics, and drive architectural decisions that balance speed and reliability.

Qualifications

• Strong Java 17+ and Spring experience.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
• Product-minded with data-driven decision making.
• Led design and development of complex engineering solutions.
• Excellent communication; mentor junior engineers.
• Frontend experience with React/Next/Svelte/Angular.
• Familiar with CI/CD principles.
• Experience in payments or financial systems is a plus.
• Leadership in technical domains.

Responsibilities

• Ship direct customer touch points on Wise's products.
• Scale to hundreds of millions of users and build seamless experiences.
• Build and improve surfaces and flows for traveller users.
• Ensure consistency, maintainability, performance and UX quality.
• Identify and solve cross-cutting technical issues with the team.
• Drive product improvements affecting customer experience and internal workflows.
• Tackle technical debt with planning and cost considerations.
