Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years of experience building software for data privacy or security.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
• 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
• Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD; open-source project leadership; open-source dependencies; building developer ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example, driving engineering excellence across the team while mentoring and developing talent.
• Collaborate with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, and Technical Program Managers to define team goals and roadmap.
• Navigate evolving AI and security landscapes, addressing emerging and legacy technical challenges.
• Foster partnerships across internal stakeholders, Google's software supply chain program, and external partners.
