Job summary

Google is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Safe Coding in Singapore to drive secure coding practices across large-scale software projects. You will anchor the Software Supply Chain security efforts and mentor engineers while partnering with product security to reduce risk.

In this role, you’ll contribute to building secure, scalable systems and lead cross-functional collaboration to advance Google’s security posture globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years of experience building software for data privacy or security (e.g., identity and access management).
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
• 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example, driving engineering excellence across the team while actively mentoring and developing technical talent.
• Partner closely with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, and Technical Program Managers to define, refine, and execute the team’s goal, roadmap, and broader AI strategy.
• Stay ahead of the evolving agentic threat landscape and navigate a dynamic AI environment, leading problem-solving to address emerging and legacy technical challenges.
• Cultivate strong, actionable partnerships across internal stakeholders and external industry leaders.
