Job summary

EPAM Systems in Singapore is seeking a Senior Python Software Engineer to design, build, and integrate in-house and SaaS solutions used by business teams, from analysis through deployment and production support.

You will design secure, scalable Python services on AWS, collaborate with stakeholders, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to reliable operations with testing, monitoring, and automation.

• Improve reliability and maintainability through testing, monitoring and automation
• Create clear technical documentation that supports development and operations
• Communicate progress, risks and trade-offs with the project team

Requirements

• ython proficiency with proven experience delivering production-grade services
• AWS knowledge with hands-on experience designing or operating cloud infrastructure
• SQL proficiency with hands-on experience working with relational databases
• Financial services domain exposure or confidence-building systems in regulated environments
• Problem-solving mindset with demonstrated ability to translate ambiguity into deliverables
• Stakeholder management experience partnering with business users and engineers
• Ownership mentality with strong prioritization and follow-through
• Clear communication in written and spoken form

Nice to have

• AWS Glue or Amazon Managed Workflows for Apache Airflow or Control-M experience
• Serverless architecture or microservices and Representational State Transfer (REST) APIs experience
• Messaging or streaming experience with Kafka or Amazon Kinesis
