Job summary

EPAM SYSTEMS PTE. LTD. is seeking a Lead Full Stack Developer to design and deliver production-ready services using Java21, Spring Boot and React. You will guide engineering standards across the team and own end-to-end features from design through release.

You will mentor engineers, review code, and collaborate with DevOps to deploy on OpenShift, while championing scalable frontend and backend architectures in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with Java 21 and Spring Boot.
• Strong React and TypeScript skills.
• Experience with REST APIs and microservices.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and delivery of fullstack apps from discovery through production.
• Build and review Java 21 microservices and REST APIs.

• Define API contracts and data flows between frontend and backend.
• Establish coding standards and CI/CD processes.
• Drive automated testing across unit to end-to-end.

What You’ll Do

We are seeking a Lead Full Stack Developer (Java, React). You will build and ship production-ready services and user experiences on Java21, Spring Boot and React while guiding engineering standards across the team. If you enjoy hands-on delivery, strong code reviews and shaping practical architecture, this role offers real ownership from design through release.

• Lead end-to-end design and delivery of fullstack applications from discovery through production support
• Build and review Java 21 and Spring Boot microservices, REST APIs and integration patterns
• Build and review React and TypeScript UIs with scalable component architecture
• Define clear API contracts and data flows between Front-end and Back-end components
• Establish coding standards, branching strategies and code-quality controls across the team
• Drive automated testing across unit, integration and end-to-end layers
• Partner with DevOps and SRE teams to deliver via CI/CD to OpenShift
• Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews and day-to-day technical guidance

What Will Make You Shine

• Java hands-on development background with recent Long Term Support releases (Java 21 in this project)
• Spring Boot experience building microservices and REST APIs using the Spring Framework
• React hands-on experience building Front-end applications with TypeScript
• State management knowledge with Redux or a comparable approach
• Databases experience with relational databases, SQL and Hibernate or Spring Data JPA
• Container platforms hands-on experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes
• Continuous integration experience with Git, Maven or Gradle and Jenkins or comparable CI/CD tooling
• Technical leadership experience guiding delivery, mentoring engineers and aligning stakeholders in Agile teams.

Nice to Have:

• Microfrontend experience including Module Federation
• Event streaming exposure with Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Observability experience with Elastic Stack, OpenSearch, Grafana or AppDynamics
