STMICROELECTRONICS PTE LTD is seeking a motivated software engineer to join the Test R&D Software Solution team within Global Technology R&D. You will develop automation and robotics solutions and oversee software applications in a multidisciplinary environment.

The role emphasizes industrial automation in semiconductor contexts, with strong emphasis on SEMI standards and OO programming in C# and C++. Collaboration with external suppliers and offshore teams is likely.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer engineering, electronic engineering or computer science.
• Five years of experience in industrial automation, preferably semiconductor.
• Knowledge of SEMI standards for semiconductor equipment automation, SEMI E30/E183/E142.
• Two years experience integrating equipment supporting SEMI standards.
• Basic knowledge of SEMI E82 and SEMI E88 transportation standards.
• Understanding of semiconductor test data formats such as STDF/BIDF/wafer maps.
• Proficiency in C# and C++ with OO programming foundations.
• Familiarity with Java, Python, databases, SQL and SQLite for software development and data management.
• Experience with Git and version control systems.
• Knowledge of XML and XSD formats for data structuring and validation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze industrial processes to automate them using Industry 4.0 components.
• Develop prototypes and software solutions with internal or external suppliers.
• Test software solutions using simulators and on-site environments.
• Conduct technical and economic benchmarks to compare software solutions.
• Build and coordinate software development projects evaluating costs, benefits, risks, and issues.
• Report project status to executive management.
