Job summary

Google LLC in Singapore is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Consumer Payments Growth to advance Google Wallet and Google Payments globally.

You will own end-to-end engineering for growth initiatives, design scalable backend services, mentor engineers, and coordinate with cross-functional teams on multi-quarter programs.

Candidates should have deep experience with distributed systems, APIs, and strong technical leadership; experience with AI-assisted development is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software programming in C++, Java, Python or Go.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
• 3 years of experience designing, building, and operating scalable back-end distributed systems, microservices architectures, or high-throughput APIs.
• Experience leading the technical design and end-to-end delivery of multi-quarter software engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Build high-performance communications infrastructure for in-app messages and notifications.
• Architect resilient, idempotent financial settlement workflows.
• Design low-latency feature stores and telemetry pipelines for A/B testing and causal attribution.
• Drive technical execution for multi-quarter projects and mentor junior engineers; advocate AI-assisted development.
