Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC seeks software engineers in Singapore to build next‑generation wallet technologies at massive scale. You will work across full-stack back-end and front-end, collaborating with device manufacturers and platform teams to implement secure digital credentials and APIs.

The role requires strong experience in Kotlin, Java, C++, and modern web technologies, with a focus on scalable, secure systems and cross-team collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Kotlin, C++, Java).
  • 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • 3 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Kotlin, Python, Golang, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with android device manufacturers to enable Wallet features on various device types and interface with NFC controllers, secure elements, and biometric sensors.
  • Develop and scale secure digital credentials for transit, access control, and automotive keys within Wallet.
  • Collaborate with Android platform teams to design and implement new APIs and capabilities that enhance Wallet functionality and security.
  • Work with Product Managers, UX Designers, TPMs, Business Development, Legal, and other Engineering teams to define requirements and launch integrations.

Minimum qualifications

Preferred qualifications
  • Experience with full-stack, including designing and integrating with server-side APIs to support client features.
  • Experience with Android mobile app development (e.g., Kotlin, Java).
  • Experience building high-scale systems, robust APIs, and data pipelines utilizing technologies like server platforms and the company Mobile Services (GMS) Core.
  • Experience working with external partners and device manufacturers.
  • Understanding of Android internals.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with android device manufacturers (e.g., Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs)) to enable Wallet features on various device types, including wearables and devices with real-time operating systems (RTOS). Develop software that interfaces with device hardware like Near-Field Communication (NFC) controllers, secure elements, and biometric sensors.
  • Develop and scale secure digital credentials for transit, access control (e.g., campus, corporate, and residential), and automotive keys within the company Wallet.
  • Collaborate with Android platform teams to design and implement new Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and capabilities that enhance Wallet functionality and security.
  • Work with Product Managers, User Experience (UX) Designers, Technical Program Managers, Business Development, Legal, and other Engineering teams within Wallet and across the company. Engage with external partners to define requirements, troubleshoot issues, and launch new integrations.
