Job summary

Illumina Singapore is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack to help design and build next generation data platforms that enable genomic insights.

You will contribute to a dynamic, agile environment across frontend and backend development using Java with Angular/React, RESTful services, and cloud infrastructure to deliver scalable real-time analytics for healthcare applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting highly scalable applications.
• Full Stack development with proficiency in frontend and backend coding.
• Excellent Java development and debugging skills.
• Experience with frontend technologies and frameworks (Angular, React).
• Deep understanding of data architecture and OOP concepts.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with distributed storage and database systems (SQL or NoSQL).
• Proficiency in building scalable real-time services based on REST.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for software development for new product initiatives and features.
• Participate in all phases of software development from architecture/design through implementation, testing and deployment.
• Actively look for ways to improve the customer experience and codebase.
• Develop software components that meet quality and architecture standards, including unit tests and test harnesses.
• Write clean, performant, and well-tested code.
• Work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality software.
