Job summary

Coinbase is a remote-first company seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Onboarding team. You will build backend services in Golang powering onboarding and KYC across products and geographies, enabling rapid global expansion.

You will own end-to-end delivery, collaborate with engineers, PMs, designers, and leadership, and uphold security and reliability in a service-oriented architecture while leveraging cloud-native tooling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building, scaling, and maintaining production backend services in a service-oriented architecture.
• Proven track record designing distributed systems that operate reliably at scale, including experience with cloud-native tooling.
• Proficiency in Golang or a similar statically-typed language, with demonstrated ability to write well-tested, production-grade code.
• Experience owning end-to-end delivery of platform capabilities, from technical design through deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
• Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

• Lead cross-cutting design reviews within your product area, ensuring security, operational integrity, and architectural clarity across all features shipped.

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Onboarding team, you'll build the systems that power user onboarding and KYC across every Coinbase product and market. This team enables Coinbase to launch in new countries and ship new products quickly while meeting compliance and regulatory requirements. You'll own backend services that drive onboarding conversion at global scale and shape the architecture that makes rapid expansion possible.

Pay Transparency Notice: The target annual base salary for this position can range as detailed below. Total compensation may also include equity and bonus eligibility and benefits (including medical, dental, and vision).

Annual base salary range (excluding equity and bonus):: $191,100 SGD - $191,100 SGD
