Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Life Insurance Policy Administration systems and capabilities.
• 5–7 years in Insurance/Financial Services industry.
• 5+ years supporting Core Policy Administration systems (Life Asia/Life400).
• Experience with omnichannel integration and surrounding applications.
• Knowledge of release management, versioning, and deployment methodologies.
• Experience with application integration middleware (e.g., MuleSoft) is a plus.
• Proficiency in Agile/Iterative delivery methods.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engineering solutions for Core Policy Administration apps (e.g., Life Asia) and related middleware.
• Design technical solutions meeting business and operational requirements, mentoring juniors.
• Partner with Business Product Owners to deliver product initiatives, customer service enhancements, and launches.
• Lead the technical delivery of projects, ensuring scope, quality, and timelines are met.
• Collaborate with Delivery Leads, Engineering, and business users; clearly communicate technical solutions.
• Contribute to Policy Administration System architecture and design, providing reusable patterns and scalable approaches.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engineering solutions and technical deliverables supportingproduct sales, customer acquisition, and customer servicing, including Core Policy Administration applications (e.g., Life Asia), CCM solutions, underwriting engines, workflow platforms, middleware integrations, and front-end/mobile applications.


• Design and recommendtechnical solutions that meet business and operational requirements, while providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior IT team members.


• Partner closely withBusiness Product Ownersto deliver Product and Proposition initiatives, customer service enhancements, product launches, and other strategic business objectives.


• Lead the technical delivery of assigned projects, initiatives, and enhancements, ensuring solutions are delivered according to agreed scope, quality, and timelines.


• Collaborate effectively with Delivery Leads, Engineering teams, Business Product Owners, and business users across the organization. Clearly communicate and articulate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


• Contribute to the overallPolicy Administration System architecture and technical design, providing best-practice guidance, reusable patterns, and scalable solution approaches.


• Maintain strong knowledge and understandingInsurance and Financial Services industry practices, trends, and regulatory developments, applying this knowledge to recommend appropriate solutions for business and user needs.


• Work closely with Business Product Owners, Tech Delivery Leads, and technical teams to define technical designs fornew product launches, post-launch features, enhancements, and other strategic initiatives.


• Evaluate business requirements and determine themost appropriate, sustainable, and cost-effective technical solutions.


• Provide technical recommendations and solutions for issues, challenges, and operational needs raised by business users.


• Provide oversight of Core Application deliverables supportingproduct launches, post-launch features, customer acquisition, customer servicing, and middleware integrations.


• Serve as aSubject Matter Expert (SME)for Core Policy Administration application-related initiatives.


• Manage tasks effectively, proactively monitor progress, and ensure commitments and agreed delivery timelines are achieved.


• Promote effective collaboration and knowledge sharing across technical and business teams.

Experience & Technical Requirements

• Strong understanding ofLife Insurance Policy Administration systems, including key features, functionalities, and business processes.


• 5–7 years of experience in the Insurance or Financial Services industry, with at least5 years of hands-on experience supporting Core Policy Administration systems, particularlyLife Asia/Life400.


• Good understanding of surrounding applications and platforms, includingUnderwriting Engines, Front-End and Mobile Applications, Workflow solutions, Sales Portals, and other customer-facing systems.


• Strong experience inomnichannel integrationand integration with surrounding applications within the insurance technology ecosystem.


• Strong understanding ofenvironment management, release management, source/code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies.


• Experience in integrating Core Policy Administration applications with surrounding systems such asSales Portals, Workflow platforms, Underwriting Engines, and other enterprise applications.


• Experience withapplication integration middleware, such as MuleSoft, is an advantage.


• Strong understanding and practical experience withAgile/Iterative delivery methodologies.
